Pomegranate Cava Punch

Look for a dry, citrusy sparkling wine, such as Cristalino Brut Cava, for this festive punch. Guests will love this light and fun drink, which is sprinkled with pomegranate seeds and fresh mint leaves for a pretty garnish. Plus, it’s easy to make.

1/2 cup agave syrup, or more to taste

2 750-mL bottles of cava

1 3/4 cups white rum

1 1/2 cups pomegranate juice

1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

Pomegranate seeds

Large bunch of fresh mint

Lemon slices, optional


In a punch bowl, combine rum, cava, pomegranate and lemon juices. Add agave to taste. Mix in pomegranate seeds, lemon slices and mint leaves. Add ice block* to bowl.

*To make ice block: Fill a Bundt pan with water. Sprinkle in pomegranate seeds and mint leaves. Freeze overnight. Let defrost just long enough to loosen the ice from its mold.
