Peppermint schnapps sneaks into this grown-up version of the childhood favorite. For those who prefer a nonalcoholic version, substitute 1/4 teaspoon of peppermint extract for the schnapps. Just grab a mug, kick back and relax.
1. In a medium bowl, beat half cup cream until soft peaks form. Cover and chill in fridge. In a saucepan, whisk remaining half cup of cream, sugar and milk together and bring to a boil. Remove from heat.
2. Stir in chocolate until melted and smooth. Whisk in peppermint schnapps. Divide between mugs, and top with whipped cream. Sprinkle with peppermint candies.
