Ayesha Curry Launches Baby Brand and Reveals What She Wants for Mother's Day

After partnering with Cheeky tableware company on its children's collection, Cheeky Kids, Ayesha Curry has taken that relationship a step further by co-founding Cheeky Baby, the company's new dinnerware product line for the tiniest of eaters.

The mom of two, who's married to Golden State Warriors MVP Stephen Curry, tells Mom.me that she was inspired to create the line, which launches May 14, because she saw a "void" in the lives of her family.

"My youngest daughter, Ryan, was about 6 months old when I came onboard the Cheeky brand," Ayesha says. "At that time, I was in search of beautiful, functional, but affordable meal-time products for my 3-year-old and 6-month-old, who was just beginning solids. Co-founding Cheeky Baby came as a no-brainer."

The adorable animal-themed line includes both reusable plastic and silicone products such as sippy cups, feeding spoons and bibs that are also affordable.

Also a no-brainer for Ayesha, especially as the mother of two young girls, is knowing that she serves as a role model for girl power. She wants her daughters to know that their possibilities are endless.

"I want to show them that there is no ceiling that can be put on what they're capable of," she says. "I want them to know that in today's society it's so important to empower our fellow girl bosses. There is room for everyone to thrive. We can get ahead much faster by lifting each other up instead of putting each other down. That's girl power."

That definitely goes for moms, too, who often find it hard to find balance work and motherhood.

"The real question is, does balance even exist?" Ayesha asks. "I think we each find our own version of balance. For me I'm still figuring out how to navigate this new world. What works for me now is I make sure that when I'm with my girls, the phones are put away and I am disconnected from work. Quality over quantity is my motto."

In addition to the line's baby products, Cheeky also has donated more than 500,000 meals to No Kid Hungry, an organization that works to end child hunger in America.

"There's still so much more to do!," Ayesha tells Mom.me, "but with every Cheeky Kids and now Cheeky Baby product purchased, a meal is donated through No Kid Hungry."

Cheeky Baby launches online and at Target on Mother's Day. So what are Ayesha's plans for her special day?

"The option to sleep in is all I ask for!" she tells us. "Oh! And a great cup of coffee when I wake up."
