White Peach Cava Sangria


3 white peaches, pitted and sliced into thin wedges (look for peaches that are ripe, but still firm so that they won't get too soft while soaking)

1 small orange, sliced

10 basil leaves, plus additional for garnish

1 12-ounce can peach nectar

1/4 cup Cointreau

750 mL bottle of cava, or other sparkling wine


In a large pitcher combine peaches, orange slices, basil, peach nectar and Cointreau. Refrigerate for one hour to combine flavors, then add ice and cava. Serve with basil sprigs for garnish.
