1 ripe D'Anjou or Bartlett Pear, cored and diced
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons honey
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 ounce chopped walnuts or pecans
6 whole wheat waffles
1. In a medium bowl, prepare the cream cheese spread by combining softened cream cheese, honey, vanilla, ground cinnamon and nuts. Mix until well combined.
2. Prepare whole wheat waffles, according to package direction.
3. Spread a heaping tablespoon of cream cheese mixture over each toasted waffle. Top each one with 2 or 3 tablespoons of diced pear and sprinkle with cinnamon.
