10-Year-Old Boy Writes Heartfelt Letter to Santa

When it comes to this year's Christmas list, Ronnie Harris has a big request—and it has nothing to do with toys.

The 10-year-old boy from Ipswich, England, wrote a letter to Santa, asking him to cure his father, Russell, of a malignant brain tumor.

It reads:

"Dear Santa,

This Christmas I would like one spacific (sic) thing this year.

My dad has a really bad brain tuma (sic).

Could you please find a cure for him to make him better and I will be the happiest boy in the whole world!

Merry Christmas,

Yours sincerely,

Ronnie Harris

Thank you!"

His mother, Emma, found the note under Ronnie's bed and "burst into tears," according to U.K. newspaper The Daily Mirror.

"I was very touched. It was heart-wrenching to think that a child of his age doesn't want anything for himself for Christmas," Emma told the site. "It made me cry. I felt so proud of him for thinking just of his dad and wanting him better."
