The holidays are often jam-packed with school plays, choir performances and other exciting functions that our kids are proud to share with their parents. But what if their parents can't fully enjoy what's happening during the performance? That was the case with Claire Koch's parents; Claire is a kid of deaf adults (KODA or child of deaf adults, CODA).
KODA kids are often bilingual, learning sign language next to a spoken language. To make her kindergarten's Christmas performance special for everyone, including her parents, Claire chose to sign the entire performance. She manages to sign all the words right, sing the songs and keep an extremely high energy level the whole time! Not only is she adorable, but it's also so heartwarming that she did this so her parents could simply understand what she was singing, like everyone else.
