VIRAL: Family's 'Christmas Jammies' Video Is Hilarious
byKaitlin StanfordDec 17, 2013
In case you haven't heard, Christmas cards are so last year. 2013? It's all about the Christmas card video.
At least, that's the awesome way one family from Raleigh, N.C., decided to forgo the usual Christmas card/holiday newsletter fiasco. Instead of writing out a hundred cards to friends and family, they pulled out all the stops ... and whipped up one seriously hilarious video in which they dance and rap their way through all their 2013 highlights. Cherry on top? They do it all while wearing their matching Christmas jammies. (Sorry, make that #XMASJAMMIES.)
And can we just say, this family has had quite the year. For one, mom Kim ran a marathon and got a role in Iron Man 3. Little Lola can now count to 100 in Chinese and has a medal hanging over her bed for running in the race, too. Penn Charles has just turned 4 and pretty much lives in his superhero shirts. He's also taking a hip-hop class and honing his not-so-great rhythm skills. As for dad? After divulging that he just got a vasectomy, Penn Sr. also drops a bomb that he's quitting his job at the anchor desk of a local news station, because—spoiler alert!—he's going into business with Kim.
That business just so happens to be a marketing and media company, the Green Room, where the Holdernesses create "powerful story telling through professionally produced videos and digital marketing." Considering this video has gone pretty viral within the last week, it's safe to say they know what they're doing.
