Supermodel Giselle Bundchen is facing some backlash after she posted this photo of herself on Instagram. The photo shows her getting pampered by a team of stylists as she breast-feeds her baby.
Critics have called the image "obnoxious" and "outrageous" because it portrays excess and a certain lifestyle that most moms cannot relate to. On the other end of the spectrum are those defending Bundchen's actions by saying that she's brave and represents a positive image of working moms who are breast-feeding. Normally, many moms returning to work face hurdles like lack of time to breast-feed, no place to pump in the office etc. This shot shows that Bundchen, however famous she is, is making an effort—and what's more, she's thankful for those who help her and enable her to multitask, however different it is from other mom's ideas of multitasking.
The photo's caption read:
What would I do without this beauty squad after the 15 hours flying and only 3 hours of sleep#multitasking#gettingready
This isn't Bundchen's first breast-feeding controversy; back in 2010, Bundchen even told a magazine that she thought there should be a "worldwide law" that mothers "should breastfeed their babies."
