With five kids under 10, funnyman Jim Gaffigan has quite the little brood going at home. And if you follow his act, you know he's pretty proud of them all—from daughters Marre and Katie Louise to his trio of sons, Jack, Michael and Patrick.

That's probably why at his December 29 show, held at the Pabst Theater in Milwaukee, the proud papa surprised the audience and let his kids have some of the spotlight: by allowing them to open for him. As you might imagine, it was all rather adorable; from the tiny tuxedos the boys donned to the girls' sparkly sequined dresses.

First, Marre and Jack took center stage to ask that the audience remember to turn off their cell phones. (Or, better yet, as Jack quips, "Just turn everything off.") Then, they gave themselves a proper introduction, with Jack citing himself as "the author of the title of the book, Dad Is Fat." (Which clearly deserves some kudos.)

Next came a song and dance number in which the two explain the true spelling of their last name (in case you didn't know), and welcome little Katie and Michael on stage. But of course, the real star of the show was baby Patrick, who was carried on stage by mom Jeannie, to the crowd's delight.
