We're not sure if it's the Polar Vortex, but this week sure has been a weird one in the way of pregnancies--specifically, where they've taken place. First there was the mom who delivered her son ... in her onesie pajamas, now there's a mom who gave birth in her SUV!
A Northern Virginia woman gave birth to a healthy baby girl in her SUV on Tuesday. She was reportedly on the way to the hospital but couldn't wait long enough and had to pull over and have her baby right then.
The mom then called 9-1-1. A responding officer arrived on the scene to find the woman; she rolled down her window to show the bundled up baby girl. At 6 pounds, 8 ounces, the mom and daughter were the brought to Inova Fairfax Hospital.
How would you like to have the story of your birth start off with, "We were driving in our Toyota SUV..."?
We're just happy both mom and baby are safe and sound, especially with the brutal chills that the East Coast is seeing. Stay warm!
