Gosselin Twins Return After That Awkward Interview
byKaitlin StanfordJan 21, 2014
Last week, Kate Gosselin and her twins Cara and Mady swung by the Today show for a little "catch-up" (aka shameless self-promotion). It was supposed to be a "Where Are They Now?" type interview, with host Savannah Guthrie chatting up Gosselin's now 13-year-olds about life after reality TV, growing up in the spotlight and what it's like living with six rambunctious siblings running around all day. You know, harmless early-morning TV stuff.
Unfortunately, what resulted was a several-minute-long cringe-fest in which neither twin could move themselves to speak. Literally. Kate sharply prodded them ("Mady, use your words.") and Savannah switched up her line of questioning. But these girls were not having any of it. In a word, it was painful.
Just a few days later (after they no-doubt got an earful from their mother), the twins hit up another talk show couch–The View–and this time, they thankfully brought their A-game. (In other words, it only got awkward once. OK, twice.)
Watch as Cara and Mady dish on everything from Bieber vs. One Direction to what they really think of the sextuplets. (Hint: It's basically what every other 13-year-old would say about their little siblings.) And watch Kate try ever-so-hard not to butt in/talk for them.
...Oof, that awkward pause at the end! We're pretty sure Jon's going to have something to say about everything that implied.
