ICYMI: Jared Leto Thanks Mom in Moving Oscar Acceptance Speech

Last night, Jared Leto took home the Best Supporting Actor statue for his amazing turn in Dallas Buyers Club, and had us bawling not even 10 minutes into the show.

He started off by telling the story of a young girl from Bossier City, La., who back in 1971 was just a single mom and a high school dropout and determined to make a better life for herself and her kids. That young girl was his mother, who just so happened to be sitting right there in the audience, staring proudly up at her son. (Cue the waterworks!)

In case you missed it (or want to make yourself cry all over again), check out Leto's powerful acceptance speech below. Oscar night may have been filled with lots of hilarious and touching moments, but this "Thank you, Mom" shoutout was our favorite of the night.
