While on vacation at a ski resort, a mom of a teething child received a note under her door, complaining about her screaming child.
The anonymous writer, a mother herself, started off by writing, "Thank you for bringing a screaming baby to a ski resort and wake up (sic) everyone near your room, several times during the night." (Read the whole text in the photo below.)
The mom's brother, who blogs at Dad on the Run, came to her defense by writing an open letter to the anonymous complainer, first explaining that his sister's husband is a brain surgeon who was in Colorado for a conference "where he can learn to better treat you if you happen to fall from a snow-lift, get thrown from your high horse ... or have the misfortune to trip over your own self-righteousness..."
The family took advantage of the opportunity to spend time together, according to the blog post, because the baby's father works unconventional hours and can be away from home some of the time.
Dad on the Run goes on to say that he finds his sister to be an "amazing" wife and a "kind and considerate parent," and wonders why instead of trying to change or figure out the situation, the anonymous woman instead left a note under the door as she was leaving.
