Razor Blades Found Attached to Playground Equipment

A 2-year-old boy in East Moline, Ill., was injured earlier this week when he was playing on playground equipment that had razor blades attached to it.

The boy's father, who was with him at the time, took him home to treat a cut on his hand and then called police.

"East Moline parks are safe, but it's just a bad situation, bad instance where somebody, or maybe a group of kids, I don't know who did this, but figured this would be a fun prank to do," police Lt. Brian Foltz told WILX10 News.

The police say they removed about a dozen razor blades from swinging bars, rings and poles around the playground structure at Millennium Park.

Officers are investigating the incident, according to the news site, as well as looking at other nearby parks.
