Twitter Employee Live Tweets Her Labor. (Naturally.)

Claire Diaz-Ortiz (otherwise known by the handle @Claire) heads up social innovation at Twitter. So it probably should come as no surprise that she tweets a lot. And this weekend, she sure tweeted up a storm about how she spent her Saturday night. Except she wasn't having some wild night out with friends. She was giving birth.

Yep, the first-time mom welcomed a baby daughter, Lucia (oh, ahem @lucia) Saturday night, after releasing a firestorm of tweets that captured the attention (and responses) of hundreds of strangers, and even some noteworthy celebs.

It all started off with her water breaking...

Then she threw on her Twitter jacket (because, apparently, there are such things?) and headed off to the hospital.

...and things got a little dramatic.

But we won't spoil it all for you. Hop on over to Twitter and get the whole play-by-play of how baby Lucia made her way into the world. (And see her first photos!)

Would you ever live-tweet your labor?
