'Dad Casting' Spoof Reminds Us There's No Script for Being a Dad

Dad Casting spoof reminds us there's no script for being a dad

The role of "Dad" isn't always an easy one. Some times you gotta be the tough one; other times you'll need you to be the softie. Sometimes you'll just need to be there to kiss boo-boos, or give some sage advice (even when you have no idea how to advise). But most of the time, it's a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants kind of job. Because as one Father's Day ad from Cardstore reminds us, the role of "Dad" never involves a script. (Much like that of "Mom.")

Watch as "actors" enter a sound stage and prepare for a starring roles in an unnamed production. While they know they are showing up to play the role of a father, they are just a little unsure of how to go about it. This play within a play may in fact be scripted itself, but it's hilarious, heartwarming, and at parts, kind of a tearjerker. Plus, it will make you want to call your dad.
