Christina Aguilera Gives Her Baby a Super Sweet Name

Christina welcomes baby girl, names her a sweet summer name

When pop star Christina Aguilera gave birth to her second baby on Saturday, August 16, she right away told the world she had welcomed a tiny baby girl into the world. But it wasn't until early this morning that the singer finally revealed the name that goes along with her little bundle o' joy. And as Bustle points out, it kinda sounds like it could also be the title of one of her '90s pop songs.

So just what is the baby's name, anyway? Summer Rain. Summer Rain Rutler, to be exact, as her dad is Aguilera's fiance Matt Rutler. The 33-year-old singer announced the news of her daughter's name herself on Twitter, where she added that she is "so proud" to welcome her little girl into the world.

The baby girl, who was born via C-section at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, is also welcomed by big brother Max Liron, Aguilera's child with ex-husband Jason Bratman. News of the couple's baby-to-be was first revealed last February, and in the months that have followed, Aguilera has pretty much glowed.

Just last month, Aguilera confidently posed nude on the cover of V magazine, looking incredible.

"As a woman, I'm proud to embrace my body through all stages of life, staying fearless and confident in surrendering to the unknowns the future has in store," she shared in the interview.

Following the shoot, she thanked the entire team behind it, with a sweet post on Instagram. "(Thank you for) giving me the freedom to bare my soul & body at this incredible, magical, transition time in my life. #Grateful" she wrote on August 1.

Earlier in July, the powerhouse vocalist also celebrated her upcoming baby at a lavish baby shower in L.A., where Rutler reportedly sat by her side through the whole thing.

"It was very romantic, with candles everywhere," a source told Us. "Christina looked so happy and excited."

Congrats to the new mama!
