Let's have a show of hands: Who's sick and tired of their kid ignoring their texts and calls when they're trying to reach them?

Yeah, that's what we thought.

Fear not, moms. Here to save the day is Sharon Standifird, a fellow mom who is totally done with this ignoring calls nonsense. She helped develop the new app, "Ignore No More," which makes it next to impossible for kids to dodge Mom's check-ins. (Ha! Victory is ours!)

Standifird got the idea after dealing with ignored phone calls from her own kids, and put her thinking cap on.

"We need to develop an app that just shuts their phone completely down and they can't even use it," Standifird thought to herself. "And I started — literally just started researching how to develop an app."

It took months of design, but finally "Ignore No More" was suddenly a reality. Here's how it works: With just a tap of their finger, parents can take away texting, gaming, and the ability to call friends. Only a list of parent-selected contacts (and 911) will come up when a child goes to use their phone, which instantly sends the message Mom or Dad wants: You better stop ignoring my texts, kid. In turn, the parent is the only one with access to the unlock password, to grant access to other features on the phone.

Standifird has (of course) tested the app out on her own kid, who as a result now calls her back immediately.

Want to give it a whirl on your own kids? You better have an Android — while the app is only $1.99 to buy, it's not yet available to iPhone users. Check it out and download now.
