Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Lip-Sync Battle with Jimmy Fallon
byKaitlin StanfordSep 22, 2014
Jimmy Fallon's star-studded lip-sync battles have officially become must-see TV. First it was his epic showdown with Paul Rudd that had us laughing. Then it was his hilarious bit with Joseph Gordon Levitt that left us pressing play (over and over and over again). Our new favorite lip-sync battle of the moment features music idols Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, who also make up half the judging panel on NBC's über-popular singing show "The Voice."
Last Wednesday, the musical pair swung by Fallon's "The Tonight Show" to entertain the audience with the tunes of "Puttin' on the Ritz," "Burn" and the still-catchy "Call Me Maybe." But while Fallon himself seemed to be the clear winner for most of the battle (his rendition of "Cocktails for Two" was genius), it was Stefani and Shelton who really walked away the victors. Their version of Diana Ross' "Endless Love," was hilarious, adorable and the best kind of throwback. Adding to its awesomeness was the fact that they swapped roles, so Shelton sang Ross' parts and Stefani sang Lionel Richie's parts.
In case you missed it, enjoy:
We've missed seeing pop star and mom Gwen Stefani, who took a bit of a pause when she gave birth to the latest member of her brood, Apollo, last February. But lately—between that now-viral breastfeeding photo of hers and her new gig on "The Voice"—it looks like she's back! And we can't wait to see more of her.
