Jennifer Garner Sets Things Straight About That ‘Baby Bump’

Listen up, ladies everywhere: If you’ve ever had a stranger glance down at your belly and give you an animated “Congrats!” about being pregnant when you are most certainly not, Jennifer Garner feels your pain. (Times a million!) But as it turns out, she handles it way cooler than we ever will.
The actress recently swung by “Ellen,” where she wound up chatting about all the tabloid covers she’s recently graced for allegedly being pregnant. Their main source of evidence? A tiny, barely there “bump” that could only mean one thing: She must be having a baby. Right? Right?!
Before a studio audience this week, Garner aimed to set the record straight. For starters, she did indeed confirm the presence of a bump—to which the crowd replied in a rush of excitement and applause. But the mom of three was quick to clarify that she is not, in fact, adding a fourth to her brood.
“I am not pregnant,” said Garner, “but I’ve had three kids and there is a ‘bump.’ From now on, ladies, I will have a ‘bump’ and it will be my ‘baby bump,’ and let’s just all settle in and get used to it. It’s not going anywhere.”
Hear that, world? It’s the sound of women everywhere giving a standing ovation.
