'Up'-Inspired Pregnancy Announcement Goes Viral

Dad-to-be cries over touching pregnancy announcement, inspired by the movie "Up"

We've pretty much seen it all when it comes to viral pregnancy announcements—from horror movie trailers to hilarious rap videos. But the latest one to go viral is just all sorts of sweet, and it might be our new favorite.

When Erika Jackson first learned she was pregnant a few months ago, she already knew exactly how she'd spill the news to her husband, Jacob. That's because she'd thought through every little bit of it—before she even saw that positive pee stick.

"Before I knew I was pregnant, I planned how I would tell Jacob he was going to be a dad," the mom-to-be later explained. "I bought an art print of the 'Up' house sitting on Paradise Falls (we love all things animation) and wrote him a poem on the back."

She was, after all, up against some pretty high standards for this kind of thing—when Jacob proposed to her, he wrote her a full-on children's book. (Awww.)

On the front of the frame sat this image of the house from "Up."

But the poem on the back is what brought on all the feels:

The creative mama-to-be later said on YouTube that her husband's reaction to the pregnancy announcement was "perfect," before sharing a short clip of the sweet moment for everyone to enjoy. And enjoy it we did.

Watch Jacob as he learns the news, and tears up before saying to the camera, "We did it!"
