Fake Trailer Spoofs the Holidays, Nails It

What's Up Moms? makes hilarious fake trailer for "The Holidays"

Well, moms—the fun is about to be over. We had our kicks at back-to-school time, as we giddily waved goodbye to our kids and sent them off on that big yellow school bus again. But now, it's November, and you know what that means. The excitement we once felt over our precious alone time returning has been intercepted by a new menace: the encroaching holidays and all the chaos that comes with it.

Yes, we know this technically should be a joyful, celebratory time. We know we should be excited about cuddling up by a fire somewhere, cherishing moments spent with friends and family, buying gifts for those we love ... But as the hilarious ladies over at What's Up Moms have proved this week, holiday time for Mom doesn't always go as planned. (OK, so it never goes as planned.)

In their latest video, the moms have put together a humorous (albeit dark) fake trailer titled simply "The Holidays." And it couldn't be more spot-on.

"Get ready to be stressed out, unappreciated and ill-prepared," the trailer says, as we watch the ladies of What's Up Moms freak out over forgetting to defrost the turkey, fighting for a decent parking spot at the mall and encounter other holiday horrors we all know (and hate) too well.

"Somehow, you'll find a way to be merry," the trailer says at its end. And you know what? It's totally right. (Even if it's just for a moment or two.)

The clip, which was inspired by Scary Mommy's Guide to Holiday Survival, is the first time we've seen these ladies since their hilarious back-to-school song hit YouTube in August. And if you haven't caught their Izzy Azalea spoof yet, please do yourself a favor and watch that, too.
