Disney Releases New 'Cinderella' Trailer

Disney releases "Cinderella" movie trailer to debut in March 2015

It's been over 60 years since Disney first released their original version of "Cinderella," complete with talking cartoon mice and now-classic tunes like "Bibbity Bobbity Boo." But a lot has changed in the last six decades.

This year, the storytelling geniuses at Disney have been hard at work reimagining the classic fairy tale in a whole new way (with real people!). Directed by Kenneth Branagh, the film is set to debut in March 2015, with Cate Blanchett (as the wicked stepmother) and Lily James (of "Downton Abbey") as Cinderella. The main message behind it all? "Have courage and be kind"—a slightly different theme than the 1950 original, and one we can all certainly get behind. It's also been said that this new, real-life "Ella" is pretty feisty, which we kind of love.

"It's a very unusual project because anybody sitting down almost certainly knows the story," Branagh recently told E! News. "They've had it read to them or they've seen the film. I think we get to refresh, reactive and re-create 'Cinderella' from the inside out. The honoring of the original comes in, I think, as sort of a lightness of touch and a sort of lavishness."

If the trailer and stellar casting choices are any indication of how truly awesome the film is going to be, we are so there. And can we just say—hellooooo Prince Charming!

Yep, we've come a long way since 1950:
