Garth Brooks Just Summed Up Parenthood

Garth Brooks sums up parenthood on Access Hollywood

We've always had a soft spot for Garth Brooks — not just because the country singer has brought us some of the best songs of the last two decades, but also because he's kind of hilarious in interviews.

Such was the case on a recent visit to "Access Hollywood," where the Oklahoma-born star did not disappoint. There, Brooks chatted about everything from music to fatherhood, though where he really shone was when he regaled co-hosts Billy Bush and Kit Hoover with his story of a typical day-in-the-life of a parent with three teen girls.

Though the country crooner is just now back on the road and touring again, he famously took a 13-year hiatus to be a stay-at-home dad to his daughters Taylor, 22, August, 20, and Allie, now 18. And to listen to him remember those years ... boy were they hectic.

“The day starts every day at 6:00," Brooks remembered in the clip, before launching into a play-by-play of the day with barely a breath in between. "They’re not up yet because you got to get up and you gotta make their breakfast so you go in and wake them up at 6:15 … Then you go back and roust them up again. Now all of a sudden it’s getting close to 7 [and] they don’t wanna get up … they don’t wanna go to school."

Yep, that sounds about right.

Watch the star's incredibly on-point retelling of a usual day in the life of Dad. Trust us, it'll have you laughing — and it'll remind you that we're all in this thing together, from soccer practice to homework time.
