"I don’t have a weak stomach," Reynolds said. "I’m good with diapers and diarrhea and all that kind of stuff because I have lots of nieces and nephews, so I’ve done it all before."
Those skills will definitely come in handy in the years ahead, since the actor and his wife of three years say they plan to have a huge family.
"I'm the youngest of five, so I never raised any siblings below me," Blake shared with E! News. "But I'm always the person who's taking everyone else's kid and putting them on my hip. I've kinda always been a mama."
As for what Reynolds is most psyched about when it comes to fatherhood?
"I’m just excited about having a buddy," he shared. "We don’t know if it’s a boy or a girl yet, but whatever it is, you have this tether to reality that never goes away."
The "X-Men" actor also added that he's not letting himself freak out about fatherhood. At least not yet. Instead, he plans to take it all in stride.
"For a lot of new dads, you tend to dwell on the mistakes you don't want to make," Reynolds said. "I'm at that stage still where I'm focused primarily on being open and understanding and leaving a lot of room for error." (Sounds like a pretty good plan to us.)
And when it comes to baby names, the actor has some pretty stellar ideas already.
"I don't want a name that's anything pretentious or, like, Hollywood-y. So I'm going with Excalibur Anaconda Reynolds ... that's if it's a girl," he joked.
As for boy names? "Bruce Jenner," the star quipped.
Bruce Jenner Reynolds? Hmmm ... it sure has a nice ring to it.
