The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have had quite the whirlwind trip to the States this week, with visits to a Harlem children's center, a reunion with cousins Beatrice and Eugenie, and even a stopover in DC for Will, who had a one-on-one meeting with President Obama. (While on his way, the future king of England was even snapped flying coach by one giddy passenger.)

But we think it's safe to say that last night's festivities are all anyone is going to be talking about when it comes to this trip, because it's when British royalty officially met American hip-hop royalty.

That's right, Jay-Z and Beyoncé shook hands and shared a few words with Will and Kate last night. On a basketball court. In front of millions.

Minds = exploded.

It all happened during the Cavaliers-Nets game Monday night at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn, where Jay and Bey are often spotted courtside. As the hip-hop pair crossed the court for the big meeting, the crowd went utterly wild. (You can watch it over on TMZ.)

Of course, there were noteworthy moments from yesterday, including this photo-op from before the game, in which Prince William looked adorably awkward holding a basketball:

And this meeting from earlier in the day, when the royal couple shook hands with Hillary Clinton and daughter Chelsea. (And Hills was SUPER excited about it.)

Though the royal couple is headed back home to England tomorrow, it's safe to say the States are gonna miss them.
