It's been two months now since Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis first welcomed their little daughter Wyatt into the world. (And two months since we were all truly confused as to which baby was really theirs, thanks to Kutcher's clever photo prank.) But now, in two separate interviews, the newbie parents shared a bit about what life has been like with their new baby girl.
"She's a little bit older than two months," Ashton proudly shared with Ellen, on an episode for "The Ellen Show" due to air December 12. "Like, two and a half months old ... not counting."
According to Us Weekly, the actor admitted that at least for these early days, they couple is tackling this parenting thing on their own — sans nanny.
"Yes, just the two of us," he told Ellen. "It's awesome. It's unbelievable."
As for why they made the decision, Kutcher said it's simple: "We just want to know our kid. We want to be the people that know what to do when the baby’s crying to make the baby not cry anymore. We want to know, like when she makes a little face or something, we want to be emotionally in touch with her and I think the only way to do that is by being the one who’s there."
The tech-loving dad then adorably compared getting a new baby with getting a new smartphone.
"When you first get them … you're all excited and you're like ready to do all these things," he gushed. "And then you realize it's like getting a new cell phone where all the features don’t work yet. It's like a phone doesn’t have it won’t take pictures and you're like 'Why won’t my phone take pictures?' And it won't make calls and it doesn’t do a lot, but it looks really cute!"
While we've never heard newbie parenthood described quite like that before, Ashton sure has a point.
And when it comes to Mila? The former "That '70s Show" star is totally smitten — and totally impressed by how awesomely she's taken to motherhood.
"The most amazing thing about having a baby is my partner, Mila," Kutcher told Ellen. "She's the greatest mom ... I can't even. I go to work every day and I come home and she's, lik,e perfect. And it just seems like everything went amazing. And I know that something probably didn't go amazing, but she never tells … it’s unbelievable. She’s incredible."
