Chris Pratt Dishes on His Politely Mature Son

Chris Pratt shares funny stories about his son Jack on the "Ellen Show"

It's no secret that actor Chris Pratt is totally in love with his little son, Jack. The dad of one recently gushed about his two-and-a-half-year-old with wife Anna Faris, when he spoke last month at the March of Dimes Celebration of Babies luncheon about little Jack's premature delivery.

"I've done all kinds of cool things as an actor—I've jumped out of helicopters and done some daring stunts and played baseball in a professional stadium, but none of it means anything compared to being somebody's daddy," Pratt said at the time. (We know, swoon!)

But this week on the "Ellen Show," the proud papa dished about his little guy again — this time, opening up about just how talkative, mature and persuasive he can be.

Those so-called Terrible Twos? Not a problem for this guy, who Pratt says is very vocal and very polite. But while that might be every parent's dream, Pratt says it can be frustrating in other ways.

"You'll say, 'All right now, Jack, I think it's time for bed,'" Pratt told Ellen. "And he'll say, 'Mmm ... I thought about it, and no thanks, Dad. Not right now.' ... He's really manipulative."

He also says "amazing things and profound things," according to Pratt. Over the holidays, Pratt and Farris were visiting family with Jack when Dad sat him down for a chat.

"I said, 'You know Jack, there's a lot of people here and it's very loud, and you know, people are going to be having a lot of fun, and there might even be some tension," remembered Pratt. "And he just said ... 'It's family.'"

Awww, we love little Jack!
