'50 Shades' Bear Ready to Snuggle, Play Rough

The Vermont Teddy Bear Company unveiled its newest furry member, which the company expects to dominate (ahem) Valentine's Day this year. The "Fifty Shades of Grey" bear, fashioned after Christian Grey—the rough and naughty character in the critically panned but popular erotic novels—is cute, well-dressed and comes with a face mask and handcuffs.

The "Fifty Shades" books, which came out in 2011, have sold more than 100 million copies and made author E.L. James the envy of mid-list, critically acclaimed novelists everywhere. A movie based on the novels is slated for release on Valentine's Day eve.

"With all of the trappings of a memorable gift—daring, passion, exciting next-to-skin touch—she’ll be desperate to get close," according to a description of the bear on the Vermont company's website. "Bear seduces her with silky, smoky Grey fur; smoldering Grey eyes; a handsome grey suit and silver tie." One "can't help but submit to loving this handsome bear."

Retailing for a steep $89.99 plus shipping, the loving gesture of this gift could get some purchasers spanked.

But maybe that's the point?
