Dolce & Gabbana's Latest Show Celebrates Moms

Milan Fashion Week is always guaranteed to impress, but Dolce & Gabbana's Fall 2015 show that celebrated motherhood in the most beautiful and fashionable way we've ever seen really stole our hearts.

The words "Mamma" were written in cursive above the runway and set the tone from the beginning. ELLE described the show as an ode to "the elegance, the beauty and the resilience of the mom." We couldn't agree more.

The show honored motherhood as whole, and at every stage. Longtime Dolce & Gabbana muse Bianca Balti was six months pregnant and rocked a gorgeous blush-hued dress. Another models walked the runway with their babies on their arms.

In classic Dolce & Gabbana fashion, the clothing was all about highlighting the female figure. Strategically placed flattering darts and torso-whittling waistlines were abound. The addition of non-gimmicky allusions to children and motherhood made us love it even more.

We all remember when Angelina Jolie's wedding dress was adorned with drawings by her children, and D&G's latest designs featured drawings from the children of employees.

Eleven children walked the runway, with not one temper tantrum in sight. Emotions were expectedly high during the show, but Dolce and Gabbana both loved it. "It's good to see emotions on the catwalk," said Gabbana to Fashion Telegraph. "Domenico and I were talking about this the other day, and we decided in a way, our job is like social reportage. We wanted to pay tribute to the family and show how important it is, now more than ever."

Another look we loved? Matching mother-daughter dresses.

Viva mamma!
