Kid President (aka Robby Novak) has a new video making the rounds—this time, it's an open letter to moms. In his spoken plea, he tells moms 10 things they need to know.
Starting with? "Put down the phone."
Touché, Robby. Tou. Ché.
Moms who named their kid "Phone" don't have to put down Phone. But then he advises against naming a kid "Phone"—which, thanks for that, Kid President.
Novak, 11, has portrayed Kid President in a series of YouTube videos and also a TV show, produced by Soul Pancake. The character started out as a promotional character for Freed-Hardeman University's annual benefit dinner in 2012, but the clips are so popular and shareable, they've taken on a life of their own. The letter to moms video has more than 6 million views.
Life isn't just about insightful musings and clever rejoinders for Novak. The smart, charming, very watchable kid suffers from osteogenesis imperfecta, known as Brittle Bones Disease, which makes him susceptible to bone damage. He has experienced over 70 fractures.
