There's a new member of the Duggar clan, and this time it's a grandson.
Jill Dillard (née Duggar), the fourth-eldest child of the (extremely large) family, and husband Derick Dillard welcomed baby boy Israel on April 6. He weighed in at 9 pounds, 10 ounces, according to Duggar's Instagram post.
"So thankful to God for this handsome little guy! 9lbs 10oz, 23 inches long! #IsraelDavidDillard #babydilly" the new mom wrote on the social-media site.
The couple, who were married last June, discovered they were going to have a baby two months after their marriage. Derick admitted to People that it was a surprise.
"It was surreal," Derick told the magazine. "We were shocked. Both of us are so excited."
While "Baby Dilly," as the couple had been calling him, arrived a little late — his due date was March 24 — Jill explained to People, "I have told myself, 'First-time moms often go a week and a half over, so don't get discouraged.'"
