The Most Honest Illustrations of Motherhood You'll Ever See

Scottish mom Lucy Scott, who gave birth to her first child in 2012, quickly realized that there's nothing glamorous about the early days of parenthood. From being covered in explosive poop to not being able to stay awake after Baby's finally asleep, she decided to bring these everyday moments to life with a series of illustrations in her new book, "Doodle Diary of a New Mom."

According to Scott's publisher, Running Press, "Despite her extensive pre-baby research, nothing prepared [Scott] for the momentous task of caring for this new little person." And as been-there done-that moms know, truer words could not be said. Below are just a few of her hilarious depictions.

Our favorite? The image of the mom desperately reaching for the remote control while nursing her baby, followed by "Small Victory"β€”in which she's succeeded in picking up her phone with her feet. Who hasn't been there?! Which one's your favorite?
