The popular character from the Nick Jr. TV series will be touring the United States as part of "Peppa Pig's Big Splash," a live stage show that will be kicking off in the fall.
The musical production, which is aimed at preschoolers and features 12 songs, follows Peppa as she and her other animal friends must help fix the leaky nursery roof. In order for Mr. Bull to start the repairs, Peppa and her friends have to raise money, and they decide to organize a fair. Peppa, her little brother George, Mummy and Daddy Pig, as well as Danny Dog, Pedro Pony and Suzy Sheep all get in on the action, which comes together with a champion puddle-jumping competition.
Hence, the big splash.
While the tour kicks off in Ohio in November and travels to 23 East Coast cities, including Pittsburg, Washington, D.C., and Boston, the tour will also visit other U.S. cities in 2016.
The "Peppa Pig" TV series originated in the United Kingdom and has gained wide success stateside. The tour is produced by Red Light Management, Fiery Angel and eOne.
"We're very excited to bring Peppa and all her friends and family to North America in this very unique production," Jonathan Shank, of Red Light Management, said in a statement. "We can't wait to see her fans from across the country singing, dancing, and of course jumping in muddy puddles."
Tickets go on sale to the general public on May 8 at 10 a.m. ET. For more information, visit www.peppapiglive.com.
