Say it ain't so, Mindy!

"The Mindy Project," the sitcom that moms all over the country made sure to save to their DVRs, has been cancelled by Fox, according to Entertainment Weekly.

However, the show might have further life on Hulu.

While the show has wrapped filming for its current third season, "Mindy" will not reappear for a fourth season in the fall on the network.

"The Mindy Project" stars Mindy Kaling as an ob-gyn at a small New York practice who balances work with a sometimes-awkward love life. The 35-year-old actress/writer/producer who gained fame on the beyond-popular TV series "The Office," created the sitcom in 2012.

The current season has even tackled motherhood, as Kaling's character has become pregnant with co-worker/boyfriend Danny.

And while the show has been struggling with low ratings on Fox, the show's producer, Universal Television, is in talks with online video service Hulu to produce "multiple additional seasons," according to EW.

Fingers crossed!
