Top Baby Names of 2014 Revealed

The latest list of popular baby names for 2014 is out, thanks to data collected by the Social Security Administration, which keeps track of newborns born in the United States.

So what are that most popular baby names for 2014?

We'll start with the boys. From first to tenth, the rankings are:

1. Noah
2. Liam
3. Mason
4. Jacob
5. William
6. Ethan
7. Michael
8. Alexander
9. James
10. Daniel

Then for the females, the rankings are:

1. Emma
2. Olivia
3. Sophia
4. Isabella
5. Ava
6. Mia
7. Emily
8. Abigail
9. Madison
10. Charlotte

It's the first time the name Charlotte has made the list, and it's sure to get even a bigger boost, now that it's the name of Britain's new royal baby.

So how does this compare to years past? Well, in 1915, John, William, James, Robert and Joseph were the most popular boys' baby names, while Mary, Helen, Dorothy, Margaret and Ruth topped the list for the ladies.
