Who doesn't love dinner and a movie? Now Pizza Hut is offering both with its new movie projector pizza boxes. But the catch is, you gotta live in Hong Kong to get your hands on one, as reported by The Verge.
The projector works through a pop-out hole in the side of the box, in which you place a provided projector lens. Then use the pizza table's little legs to prop up your smartphone inside the box and play a special video obtained through a given code. Your phone's display will be blown up by the lens so that one can project the flick on a nearby way while chomping away on some pizza.
There are downsides, of course. The quality of the movie is low, and there's not much sound potential without attaching speakers. Plus, putting your smartphone in a pizza box is sure to get it greasy. But hey, nobody else has thought of this yet!
There are four different boxes, and each comes with a different movie to download. They include Slice Night (for horror), Anchovy Armageddon (for science fiction), Hot & Ready (for romance) and Fully Loaded (for action). The box itself is called the "Blockbuster Box." How fitting!
No word yet on if this marketing ploy will make it across the Pacific to the States, but one can hope.
