Why You'll Want to Take Your Family to the White House

On Wednesday, Michelle Obama broke a 40-year ban on taking photographs inside the White House during public tours. And she did it in style on Instagram, ripping up a sign that read, "No photos or social media allowed."

Guests can use phones and compact still cameras with a lens no longer than three inches. What's not permitted though are video cameras (including action camcorders), cameras with detachable lenses, tablets, tripods, monopods and selfie sticks, flash photography and live streaming.

Now that we can take selfies and force the kids to smile for more photographs AT THE WHITE HOUSE, we're celebrating by pulling together some of our favorite family portraits from the #WhiteHouseTour.
