If you thought Black Friday was madness, wait until Prime Day, when the deals are going to be so hot you'll need oven mitts. But note that you need to be an Amazon Prime member to get in on the action. Luckily, you can get a free 30-day membership to take advantage of the "Prime Day," which is coming on July 15.

The best part about Prime Day, other than the money-saving insanity that Amazon is promising, is that you don't have to get up from the computer, nor even dream of stepping foot into an overcrowded store filled with discount-crazed shoppers. Keep those slippers on and wear your sweatpants with pride!

"Prime Day is a one-day only event filled with more deals than Black Friday, exclusively for Prime members around the globe. Members tell us every day how much they love Prime and we will keep making it better," said Greg Greeley, vice president of Amazon Prime. "If you're not already a Prime member, you'll want to join so you don't miss out on one of the biggest deals extravaganzas in the world."
