Johnny Depp Surprises Sick Children

Johnny Depp put a smile on the faces and a bounce in the steps of some sick children when he recently donned his "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" garb to visit the Lady Cilento Children's Hospital in Brisbane, Australia.

While he was dressed up as Captain Jack Sparrow, Juiced TV and the Children's Hospital Foundation caught Depp on camera greeting some of the patients at the facility, who were no doubt delighted to meet the famous movie star in full costume.

The event was set up to surprise one young girl who had already battled cancer twice in her life, but she was more than happy to share the visit with other kids getting treated at the hospital.

Depp had previously told E! Entertainment about his plans to visit sick children while wearing his pirate getup.

"I'll just sneak in and go and surprise a bunch of kiddies through the different wards. … It basically turns into a two- or three-hour improvisation, and it's really fun. So I travel with Captain Jack," he said.
