Taco Bell—it's not just for late-night cravings anymore. A baby boy was delivered in the wee morning hours in a Taco Bell parking lot in Oildale, California. According to the L.A. Times, the family was heading to the hospital at around 2:15 a.m. because the mom was in labor. But as we all know, a baby comes when it wants to come.
When it became clear to the woman that there wasn't enough time to reach the hospital, the family pulled into the fast-food chain's parking lot. And what's a couple to do when faced with this harrowing situation? Deliver your own baby in the front passenger seat, of course!
According to Capt. Tyler Townsend of the Kern County Fire Department, by the time the firemen arrived the baby was already being cradled in mom's arms, so they simply swaddled the baby and took the family to the hospital, where both mom and baby were proclaimed safe and healthy. This is definitely one for the crazy delivery stories book.
No word on the baby's name yet, but we're hoping it's not Chalupa.
