A talented group of celebrity moms got some amazing news this morning, when they found out they had been nominated for a 2015 Emmy Award—or two.
Women including Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Taraji P. Henson, Claire Danes and Viola Davis received nominations in actress categories, with Christine Baranski and Gaby Hoffman snagging two nominations each.
Henson and Davis even made a little Emmys history today, according to TheWrap, as this is the first time in the history of the awards that two African-American women have been nominated in a single category—in this case, lead actress in a drama. Henson has been nominated for her role as Cookie Lyons in "Empire," while Davis is nominated for her role as Annalise Keating in "How to Get Away With Murder."
Congrats to everyone who was nominated! The 67th Primetime Emmy Awards will be broadcast on Fox on September 20. Andy Samberg will host.
