It's that time of year again—the first day of school. Summer vacation is over, lunches have been packed and the kids are headed back into the classroom. This hallmark day is usually marked by lots of tears from kids and moms. But none have been captured quite like this before.
A KTLA reporter was at the City Terrace Elementary School in Los Angeles to capture some of the kids' feelings about this big day, and scored the most heartbreakingly cute interview ever. She asks 4-year-old Andrew Macias if he would miss his mom during the first day of pre-K. The brave young boy firmly answers "No" and starts giggling. Then a second later, the enormity of this day hits him, and he starts to tear up.
And so do we.
Seriously, get your tissues out for this one.
Lucky for little Andrew, his mom was still there and gave him a hug off camera. He walked into the school a short while later.
We get it Andrew, there's no place like Mom. Now excuse us while we go cry some more.
