The Pink Dolphin Is Back

A pink dolphin first spotted in 2007 has returned to Calcasieu River in Louisiana. The sight of a pink dolphin is a memorable one, and Captain Erik Rue of the Calcasieu Charter Service remembers first seeing her as a baby.

"Pinky" is now a full-grown adult, and she swims on her own most of the time. Rue spots her with a pod of other dolphins from time to time.

"We still see her swimming almost every day in the summertime. We've seen her a lot in the last few weeks. She looks happy and healthy," Rue told WGNO-TV.

Rue has also seen Pinky mating and believes that she may now be pregnant. While it was originally thought that Pinky was albino, she is now believed to be a truly pink dolphin. If she is indeed pregnant, the baby may also be pink like Mom!
