The live-action version of Disney's "The Jungle Book" will be hitting theaters next year, and the studio has just released a new trailer and images from the classic tale.
Directed by Jon Favreau ("Elf," "Iron Man"), the adventure film stars newcomer Neel Sethi as Mowgli, the famous "man-cub" who's been raised by a family of wolves and whose life becomes endangered when the tiger Shere Khan (voiced by Idris Elba) views him as a threat. Mowgli then sets off on a journey with panther Bagheera (Ben Kingsley) and friendly bear Baloo (Bill Murray).
Scarlett Johansson (as a seductive python) and Christopher Walken (as King Louie the orangutan) also lend their voices to the 3-D film.
"The Jungle Book" is adapted from Rudyard Kipling's collection of stories and will open in U.S. theaters on April 15, 2016.
