Carly Fiorina Shows What It’s Really Like to Be a Woman in the Workplace
byEricka SouterSep 22, 2015
After an impressive performance at the second presidential
debate, Carly Fiorina is in second place in several public opinion polls.
Clearly voters get that she means business, but now the secretary-turned-CEO is
intent on showing off a lighter side.
On Monday, she appeared on "The Tonight Show," where she sang a song. You read that right. She shared a made-up ditty about her lazy dog Snickers. In the
tune of "Rock Around the Clock," she belted out lines like, "My name's Snick
and you're going to have to carry me." The shocked crowd greeted her unexpected crooning with thunderous
applause. It was certainly a Fiorina we had yet to see up until this point.
So much of her publicized bio has been about her rise up the
corporate ladder and how she ran Hewlett-Packard. This, however, was a chance
for her to become someone else in the public's eyes. Though, her sit-down with Jimmy Fallon pales in comparison to what she recently pulled off at the BuzzFeed offices.
After decades navigating the corporate world (and what is
still considered a man's domain), she decided to teach the men at that website
what it's like to be a woman in the workplace. From what we wear to getting
ideas ignored to being considered less dedicated after having kids, she hits on
every eyeroll-inducing issue we woman know all too well. The results are
hilarious. Take a look.
Honestly, I think it should be required watching for EVERY man who
works outside of the home. What do you think?
