Dad Gets Creative With Kids' Late Notes

Utah resident Seth King was tired of writing the standard "please excuse my child's lateness" note. With five children — Isabella, Carson, Sophia, Nolan, Liam — it was happening all too often to stick with the tried-and-true version. So, he decided to change it up.

King spiced up the required notes, creating elaborate reasons why his kids were late for school. He also hoped to get them to be on time for school while finding humor in even the most mundane situation.

"If I can persuade them to be on time by embarrassing them in a social situation without causing them too much trauma psychologically," King told KSL. "Life is too short to be taken seriously."

King has been sharing photos of his notes on Instagram and currently has more than 60,000 followers.
