Well, we now have official confirmation: All parents-to-be gravitate towards the same baby names over and over again.

While the Social Security Administration doesn't release its official 2015 baby name list until May of next year, BabyCenter recently pulled from its database of 340,000 new moms to come up with its own list. And there were absolutely no big surprises. In fact, Sophia and Jackson both topped their list last two years, as well. Nonetheless, it's still always fun to see which names are tickling everyone's fancy (and which ones to avoid so your child isn't this decade's Jennifer).

Other baby naming trends of note:

  • Royal-inspired names like Duchess, Reign (thanks, Kourtney Kardashian) and even Royalty (yes: Royalty) are quietly making their way to the top in a refined manner.
  • Millennial parents are starting to use their last names as first names.
  • Hipster parents are choosing Instagram filters as one-of-a-kind names until it's so trendy that every other kid is named Valencia.
  • Gender-neutral names are here to stay.
  • People are loving naming their kids after TV characters. They're particularly inspired by the dramatic characters of "Empire" like Dre, Hakeen and even Lucious. It's now only a matter of time before Cookie makes the list.
  • Outer space is cool again! Think Venus (up 68 percent), Jupiter (up 50 percent) and Mars.
