Three Foster Kids Receive Best Christmas Gift Ever

There's something special about watching your kids unwrap their presents. Last Christmas, a couple in Oregon surprised three of their children with the best gift ever. And they recorded it to share with the rest of their family.

It turns out though that millions of people would end up experiencing the magic with them, too.

The now viral video shows Sarah and Michael Perks and their young kids in coordinated pajamas sitting on the sofa, waiting to open their presents from underneath the tree.

Michael hands one of the boys (Corbin, 13) a present, saying "this is for you, and you and you," as he addresses the boy's biological siblings, Kierra (8) and Damien (4).

What comes next is so heartwarming. The boy opens the present to find finalized adoption papers and starts to cry as he reads them and finds out that they will be a Perks "forever and ever."

While the three siblings had been in the couple's care for about six years, Sarah and Michael received the official adoption papers just two days before Christmas.

"We thought it would be a great surprise. It would be the best present that we could give them," Michael tells People.

Now, one year after that day, the three kids and their four siblings are closer than ever.

"Everybody gets along really well. My daughters are inseparable," Michael says. "Corbin and my biological son are the best of friends."
